Free is good for paid is good for free…
As its describes itself “Behance researches the most productive creative people and teams in the world, and then translates this knowledge, through the power of design, into products and services that help push ideas forward”
Behance is a network (Behance.net), a think tank (the 99% ), a shop for Products and Tools for Creative Professionals (Outfitter), a method (Action Method)  and has a strong sens of purpose (developp products and services that organise the creative world to make ideas happen).
What suprises me is not the team of pure genius who are behind Behance (of course i’m very impressed) but rather the way their traffic has soared since they launched their shop. In january 2009, they decided to sell some products for their creative community. Word of mouth did the rest.
I don’t know if they had this strategy in mind since the beginning (or if they adopted the iterative model, the feed back loop and find this solution afterward ) but it’s a perfect demonstration of a sucssesful agile freemium.
